SHELLEY and DAVE
We are Dave and Shelley Koenings, pictured with our Lab/Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix, Jinx, and our new puppy, Cayman, who we received from Fluffy Dog Rescue. We were donating our grooming services during one of the rescue’s transports of 44 dogs from Alabama, and our son and daughter fell in love with him. Like Jinx, he is a mixed breed. We aren't sure what he is, but he is very unique and a very special addition to our family.
We established Portable Pet Groomers, LLC in 2007 because we understand the value of convenience and we love animals. We have two main goals: 1) to give you an easy, hassle-free way to keep your furriest family member clean and happy, and 2) to give your loyal companions an enjoyable experience where they are the groomer’s only focus from start to finish. That means no other animals, no phone calls, no interruptions and no other responsibilities except to pamper your pets.
We look forward to partnering with you to keep your pets looking and feeling their best. Please feel free to contact us if you have any comments, questions or suggestions for improvement. We want to make this the best experience possible for you and your pets. |

JAMYE
My name is Jamye, and this is my dog, Kashe, a golden retriever/Samoyed mix that I got from Lakeland Animal Shelter. Working with animals has always been part of my life, as my mom is a groomer and I grew up helping her. I can’t see myself doing anything other than working with animals, and I am so glad to have that opportunity now. I love being able to work one on one with them, especially in a mobile setting because it’s easier for them to stay calm and enjoy their grooming experience. I feel so good at the end of the day knowing I made my animal friends feel great because they are fresh, clean and healthy. Knowing I improved the life of an animal is the best feeling ever! |

JACKIE
I'm Jackie, and these are my two best friends. Jessie (left) is a Golden and Chesapeake Retriever mix, and Emma Jean is a Field Golden Retriever. These two active dogs help to keep me active and make sure I don't become a couch potato.
I have had animals all my life and have always enjoyed the special bond I share with them. Animals have truly enriched my life and were the catalyst to my profession as a groomer. I feel fortunate to have a career that allows me to pair my love of animals with a service that plays a vital role in the health of your pet. I understand your pet is an important part of your family, and I will care for them as if they were my own. You can be sure they will be groomed with pride and integrity

TAMMY I am Tammy and I own three German Shepards: Roxy, Allie and Izzy. Growing up, my family raised Bluetick Coonhounds for show and hunting. We also had Beagles, Mountain Curs and American Spitz breeds. I now live on a small hobby farm where my husband, daughter and I raise pure bred miniature horses. We currently have three—Lilly, Beauty and Mackie Doodle, who was born on the 4th of July.
I love being a professional groomer. I especially love seeing a pet transform from being a little scared at first to totally trusting me by the time the grooming session is finished—almost like we were long lost friends. I can tell how good they feel by the smiles and kisses they give me. Being part of the Portable Pet Groomers team is wonderful. I love the fact that I get to meet great people, spend my day with pets and explore the countryside. Grooming makes me feel like this is what I was put here to do. I look forward to being your groomer and taking care of your little family members. There is a saying the goes, "Love what you do and you'll never work another day in your life." I feel blessed that this is where I am at in my life. |
