Portable Pet Groomers Donates Time to Groom Waukesha HAWS Animals

WAUKESHA, WIS. – On Monday, October 22, the Portable Pet Groomers, LLC mobile grooming van will be parked at the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County located at 701 Northview Road in Waukesha for the day. This new mobile grooming business is donating its time to groom several dogs and cats to help them look their best in the hopes of being adopted by a loving family.

“A clean, groomed pet has a much better chance of being adopted,” said HAWS Executive Director Lynn Olenik. “We are completely supported by donations and rely heavily on volunteers, and we really appreciate the way Portable Pet Groomers is contributing to our cause and improving the lives of our animals,” she said.

With the goal of helping busy pet owners keep their pets looking and feeling great, Portable Pet Groomers, LLC is a new mobile pet grooming service that brings the grooming salon to pet owners. It operates a fully-equipped van outfitted with a generator, water tanks, water heater, air conditioner and heater, dryers, clippers and all the supplies needed to make pets look their best.

“In addition to being extremely convenient for owners, using Portable Pet Groomers helps reduce the stress on pets because it eliminates the commute and sometimes long wait times at the grooming salon,” said Shelley Koenings, owner of Portable Pet Groomers. “Plus, the pets we serve receive individual, undivided attention from our groomer from start to finish … all in the comfort of their own driveway,” Koenings said.

The best part about this new service is pet owners don’t have to do anything except make the appointment. In fact, the owners don’t even have to be home during the grooming and can enjoy coming home to a freshly groomed pet. Portable Pet Groomers caters to dogs of all ages and breeds. Service for cats will be evaluated on an individual basis. The primary service area includes southwest Milwaukee suburbs, but customers in surrounding communities are encouraged to inquire, as well.
